G’day Praying Partners,
I just realized that I
had better get an email update out or it wouldn’t be February anymore! This
month we were able to attend a Biblical counseling module – the first of 4 –
and one of our assignments is to study through Ephesians. It’s hard to get past
chapter 1 – it’s so full of God’s blessings to us! Verse 3 says this, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ:”. ALL spiritual blessings – I hope that is as much an
encouragement to you as it was to me! If you need a reminder of just what God
has done – and is doing – in your life, give Ephesians chapter 1 a read.
Incredible!
The kids are back to
school – and so are we! We’ve started our grandparenting program back at the
school. Jackie is working with the same girls that she had last year. When she
went in to her class the teacher told her that she “fully supports” what we’re
doing and is willing to help out any way she can. It’s a blessing to have the
teacher on board! Rob is also acting as chaplain at the school (we still marvel
that the public school allows this). He’s had some fantastic contact with kids
and staff, but also with parents as he’s volunteered time at parent/teacher
events. Please continue to lift up the school to the Lord. We know that He’s
using us to demonstrate His love in practical ways.
We’ve started a new Bible
study with the church family on God’s love. We’re meeting fortnightly after the
Sunday service. We have a good group attending. Please pray for all of our church family, that studying God’s love
would change us all!
March 29 is our Easter
“Eggs”travaganza. Please be in prayer as we finish up preparations. This is one
of two outreaches we do at the school. Pray that God would be glorified in all
that we do – and that lots of kids would come! This year the gospel will be
presented by a young man at our church that is starting up online courses in
the States to get his degree in theology.
He has been such a blessing to us and we are excited to see what God is
doing in his life! He has an unquenchable thirst for God’s Word and is a
faithful witness to all those around him.
Rob’s been preaching
through I Corinthians and the last couple of weeks about the power of the
resurrection. Ephesians chapter 1
references that power in verse 19 and 20. That great power is available to us –
we already possess it in Christ! Pray that we would walk in that power each and
every day – and we will be praying the same thing for you!
